Mucker

Mucker provides a fascinating insight into the professional and personal life of the pioneering documentary film maker Brian Moser.
Mucker is a personal and intimate documentary by Titus Fossgard-Moser about his father, the BAFTA-winning filmmaker known for the UK TV series Disappearing World and his later work documenting the struggles of individuals and communities working at the frontier in different Latin American countries. The film explores Brian’s remarkable career, the motivations for his film making, and the impact of his career on his personal life, including his relationship with Titus.

The film intercuts extensive archive material with interviews with Brian and people who knew and worked with him including the cameraman Ivan Strasburg, the editor/producer Martin Smith, documentary film makers Andre Singer, Charlie Nairn and Leslie Woodhead and the anthropologists Hugh Brody, Stephen Hugh-Jones, and Caroline Moser, who was also Brian’s first wife.
